Richard "Rick"'s Story
Greetings all. Here is my story and i'm sticking to it. After moving here from Nigeria I started grammar school on the west side of Chicago at Delano for the 3rd & 4th grades. Then 3 years at Pershing(5-7th)on 31st and Rhodes then 8th grade at Warren at 92nd and Jeffery. I Went to high school at Bowen and graduated in '74. After high school I went to Minnesota for college where I majored in game room and extracuricular activities. Needless to say that only lasted for a year. I came home and attended Malcolm X for summer school to get my grades together so I could play basketball. I played 1 semester and tore up my ankle but stayed in school. ealized I just was not very interested in school. Back in Chicago I worked odd jobs for a couple of years. I finally got a job with a leading non-profit Orthopaedic Association where I have worked for the past 23 years and am currently an Office Services manager. I live in Bolingbrook with my wife and, for the time being, our daughter, our 2 grandkids, 4 fish, 2 dogs and a litter of 6 puppies. I hope to lose a few "roommates" in the near future lol. All in all though I cannot complain. The Lord has brought me through some rough times and bleak moments and I am grateful for His presence and influence in my life.
